Camille and her husband, Todd, live near a lake on a wooded lot in Nashville, TN where they have created a bird sanctuary with many feeders and watering stations. Each Spring and Autumn they receive the Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks at their feeders as they migrate to their summer and winter homes. One time a male Rose-Breasted Grosbeak hit their window and fell to the deck. Camille had the opportunity to rescue him from the cat, hold him, give him food and drink to revive him before he flew away. What a beautiful bird with a melodious song! HABITAT: Open woodlands near water, thick brush, large trees near open areas, marsh borders, overgrown pastures, dense growth of small trees, woodland edges, gardens, parks.
