Cat Hargis began as a second career after spending 15 years training television News Anchors and Reporters. One of the only people in the world to specialize in International News Training, Cat was the exclusive trainer for the BBC in the UK. Most recently, she was the exclusive trainer for Al Jazeera English in the Middle East, helping put the network on the air. From African masks to the Batik silks of Indonesia, her worldwide travels have contributed to her style.
Cats most recent works combine natural stones such as agate, labradorite, jasper and druzy into the patterns of the glass so as to create pieces that are flowing with a natural, organic feel. She also usually incorporates raised glass into the final piece, making it pleasant to touch as well as adding dimension to the appearance.
