Nocona has displayed his work in 6 Museums including the National Museum of the American Indian Art Show, New York City, NY, Autry Museum Indian Market, Los Angeles, CA, and Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market, Phoenix , AZ. His work has been featured in multiple publications including Western Art Collector, Southwest Art Magazine and in August 2006 as the Cover Artist in Santa Fean Magazine, Indian Market Issue. Additionally Nocona has won numerous awards including 1st Place Painting, SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market, 2008 and 1st Place Water-based Painting, Eiteljorg Indian Market, 2006. He has shown his work internationally in such countries as Holland, Belgium, Sweden and Germany.

Nocona is a Comanche Indian from Lawton Oklahoma. He is the great-great grandson of Chief Quanah Parker and his father is the former chief of the Comanche tribe. He has traveled throughout his life and was given the opportunity to see and experience much of the country and all the different kinds of people. He has always been around art as he comes from a family of artists of many types. He felt he had no choice but to pursue art. It was in his blood.

He decided to move to New Mexico, where he attended the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe. He continues to reside in Santa Fe today.
